Sentek Soil Moisture Probes with AgriNET Telemetry
AgriNET is a Sentek dealer and builds the telemetry that puts Sentek Drill & Drop soil moisture probes on your phone in real time. We supply, install and maintain Sentek probes for vineyards, orchards and hop yards, with hundreds of installations across the Pacific Northwest.
The Sentek Drill & Drop is an SDI-12 multi-sensor soil moisture probe. It sits in a single drilled hole and measures soil moisture and temperature at several depths down the root zone, so you can see water move through the profile after each irrigation.
Because the probe is installed in one narrow hole, the soil around it stays undisturbed, and the readings reflect the field rather than the installation.
Telemetry built for Sentek probes
Every probe is paired with an AgriNET telemetry station: a weatherproof enclosure and solar panel on a pole beside the probe. We built it to be the most dependable way to get Sentek data out of the field.
Solar powered, with no wiring back to a building.
Cellular or radio links, with satellite options for remote sites.
Reads the Sentek probe over SDI-12, and can take almost any other sensor too.

Our Sentek installations include Washington State University vineyard irrigation research, as well as commercial vineyards, orchards and hop yards across the Pacific Northwest.
We install and maintain your probes
Our crew installs the Sentek probe and the telemetry station, checks the readings, and maintains the system through the season, so the data keeps coming without you having to manage the hardware.

Real-time soil moisture data
Unlock higher yields and better crop quality while reducing costs on chemicals and fertilizers. With accurate irrigation management, you can set the duration and frequency of watering to keep soil moisture at optimal levels for your crop’s maturity and the weather, including deficit irrigation where it pays.
Graphs show every depth of the probe, percolation after each irrigation, and budget lines. Three-day map markers stay green when a site is on track and turn red or blue when it needs attention. The records show that your water is staying in the root zone.
Yes. AgriNET is a Sentek dealer. We supply Sentek Drill & Drop SDI-12 multi-sensor soil moisture probes together with AgriNET telemetry, installation and support.
Do you install and maintain the probes?
Yes. Our crew installs Sentek probes and the AgriNET telemetry station in vineyards, orchards and hop yards, and maintains them through the season.
How does the data get from the probe to my phone?
Each probe connects over SDI-12 to a solar-powered AgriNET telemetry station on a pole beside it. The station sends the readings over cellular or radio to the AgriNET app, where you see live graphs on your phone, tablet or PC.
Can the station read other sensors?
Yes. The station is built around the Sentek Drill & Drop probe, but we can connect almost any other sensor to it, such as weather, temperature, pressure or flow sensors.
Where do you work?
We have installed hundreds of Sentek probes with AgriNET telemetry across the Pacific Northwest, including for Washington State University vineyard irrigation research.
